Heading into a second Lockdown
Published On: 2nd November 2020
Following from the announcement that Boris Johnson made on Saturday 31st October, it has been decided that as a nation we go into another lockdown.
How will this affect Junction 17 Cars?
As per the latest guidelines, they are requesting that non-essential retail, including car showrooms to close. However, we will remain open for delivery to customers and for 'Click & Collect'.
Our website is open 24/7 where you can look for your next car and even apply for finance and purchase online!
We can then deliver the car to you via contactless delivery or you can even ‘Click & Collect’ at an appointed time.
We will be open between 8am to 8pm for Click & Collect appointments only.
For more information on buying online and using our ‘Click and Collect’ service, please click here.
We're Back Open!
Published On: 30th June 2020
- Our showroom is now open following government guidelines regarding social distancing and cleanliness.
- All our vehicles are also made available to browse and buy online on our website
- We offer a contact-free service where we minimise the use of paperwork and do everything digitally
- Delivery to your door is available
- We offer our brokerage service where we can sell your car on your behalf, thus minimising hassle of selling your car privately
- The health and safety of our customers and staff is our top priority!
We are closed for general viewings. However, we are open for 'Click and Collect' customers only. You can also book a video call to view the car remotely on a 1-to-1 appointment basis to give the customer the time they deserve.
If you have purchased your car online, and have opted in to our FREE 'Click & Collect' service, you will be allocated a time slot at your convenience and we will prepare the car, by cleaning it, sanitising the inside and getting it ready for you to drive away. You will be able to collect your car from our dedicated 'Click & Collect' bays.
Test Drive Policy
At present, due to the current restrictions and lockdown, we are not available for test drives. The reason for this, due to Government Guidelines, is we sanitise all vehicles for appointments. We want to ensure the safety of our customers and staff by minimising the number of people that go in and out of our vehicles.
However, upon purchasing the vehicle, you can test the car out fully over 24 to 48 hours. If you are not happy with the car, we will put it right!
No Haggling Policy
We aim to be the cheapest in the country for the make, model, mileage, year and condition for each and every car we have in stock. Therefore, we do not discount further.
At Junction 17 Cars, we consider ourselves a car retailer. Not a car dealership. A dealership implies that deals and discounts can be done, whereas a retailer sells for the price advertised.
Here at Junction 17 Cars, we are leaders in the industry with having a truly contact free experience. We are currently building our all-in-one system to cater for all customers throughout the car buying process. Our team of experts will help you with your part exchange valuations, car finance quotes and even after care support.
Yes! We are committed to helping you safely buy your next car by offering a contact-free car-buying experience. This includes the electronic signing of all paperwork so you don’t have to go into our dealership. We will also delivery to your door, cleaning your car ahead of the handover and posting keys through the letterbox, all to give you complete peace of mind.
After the vehicle is prepped, deep cleaned and completely sanitised, we can also deliver your car to your door in our fully insured trailer for added security.
There are a few options available to you if you’re struggling to make your finance repayments. If you’ve already repaid more than half the original finance amount (and you’ve decided you’d rather not keep the vehicle) you can choose to return it to the finance company. This is called a ‘voluntary surrender’ and means you won’t have to make any further payments. It’s part of your statutory rights and won’t affect your credit status.
If you haven’t repaid half the finance amount yet, you may still be able to cut the cost of your monthly payments by refinancing your car. This will allow you to pay back a little less each month in return for extending your finance agreement by a number of months. This option is often possible if your car is currently worth more than the amount you’ve left to repay. Unusually low interest rates (in part thanks to the recently reduced Bank of England Base Rate) may also help you save a little money each month, too.
The Finance and Leasing Association advises customers to “contact their lender as soon as possible if they anticipate problems – they’re there to help. The type of assistance will likely vary depending on the customer’s circumstances, but starting the conversation is key”.
If you are looking for a new car... we have an option for you to defer the finance payments up to 6 months! So that means you won't have to pay a penny in this time! Contact us for details.
With many people having to stay at home during this time, you will find it hard to sell your car privately. If you’re planning to replace it straight away, when you start the online order of your new car, just enter your current vehicles details to get an instant valuation. We will then take your vehicle away when we drop off your new car in part exchange.
You can also sell your car through our Brokerage service. This is the safest option at the moment as it means you won't have to deal with members of the public. We can potentially return you more than what you could get from a private sale. And as private sellers are not selling any cars at the moment its the best way to get as much money for your car as possible.
The final option is to sell your car directly to us. The car’s condition and paperwork will be inspected then you’re paid straight away and the car is taken off your hands. Tap on the link below to get your instant valuation.
